Patriots: Cam Newton is primed for a massive game against the Raiders

When the New England Patriots decided to sign former MVP quarterback Cam Newton to a one-year deal prior to the season, no one know what to expect. He was coming off of a major injury and the Carolina Panthers obviously didn’t have faith that he could return to elite form.

However, through two weeks, the Patriots have been very pleased with what they have seen. Newton has looked great both through the air and on the ground. He has made it clear that New England will be a force to be reckoned with even without Tom Brady.

Through the first two weeks of the season, Newton has completed 71.4 percent of his passes for 552 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He has also racked up 122 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

Looking ahead to Week 3, Newton and the Patriots have a big matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. After falling short to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, this is a big game. New England will rely heavily on Newton to get them back to a positive record.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at why Cam Newton is primed for a massive game against the Raiders this week.
