Final Quarter Of The Season

Week 14 at Los Angeles Rams

The Patriots, riding a three-game winning streak, stay out in L.A. to play a Thursday Night Football matchup with the Lons Angeles Rams. No more Brandin Cooks or Todd Gurley for the Rams, but Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods still are a dynamic duo for Jared Goff to use.

The defense will be lead by Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald, two of the best players at their positions. The defense will be too much for the Patriots’ offense to get anything going. And having a super quick turnover, playing on a Thursday night out in L.A., the Patriots will stumble and break the winning streak, falling to 7-6.

Week 15 at Miami Dolphins

There is nothing more toxic than the New England Patriots and a game in Miami. Since the 2013-14 season, the Patriots are 2-5 against Miami when they’re in the Sunshine State. There’s just something about that warm weather that doesn’t mix well with Belichick ice cold stare.

Other than what recent history says, much like what the Patriots saw last season, the Dolphins they see at the beginning of the year won’t be the same as the Dolphins they see at the end. Brian Flores and his crew will have figured out who fits where in their rebuild. The plane ride from Florida to Foxboro will once again be on the tails of a loss in Miami as the Patriots’ record moves to 7-7.

Week 16 vs Buffalo Bills

At this point in the season, the Patriots are fighting to get into the postseason. Every win is going to matter a hell of a lot more. The Patriots will have taken their loss against the Bills earlier, learned from it and come back better.

It’s a Monday Night Football matchup, the last one for that matter, and the Patriots will have to show up when they need it most. This game may not mean as much for the Bills as it does the Pats. It will be a big win and one to help them go into the final week with an 8-7 record.

Week 17 vs New York Jets

It’s Week 17, the Patriots are looking to ready themselves for a run in the postseason and the Jets are just wanting another dreadful season to be over with. Patriots finish them off easily and end the 2020 regular season with a record of 9-7.

The time has finally come for Bill Belichick to prove that he can win without Tom Brady. A 9-7 record should be enough to get into the postseason. While the Patriots may not win the division for the first time since 2008, they will be playing football beyond Week 17.
