The class of free agents in 2021 NFL free agency features no shortage of talent–among them is Los Angeles Chargers receiver Keenan Allen. He’s entering the final season of a four-year, $45 million deal, and the New England Patriots should look to capitalize.

Entering the 2020 season, the Chargers will face a different quarterback situation than what Allen has grown accustomed to having since entering the NFL. Philip Rivers will no longer be the one throwing him passes as Los Angeles moved on from him.

Coming off an impressive 2019 season, Allen provided the Chargers with 104 receptions, 1,119 yards, and six touchdowns. He has solidified himself as one of the NFL’s top route-runners, if not the best.

Allen will be 29-years-old next offseason and it’s important to be in a situation that maximizes his prime. The Patriots could be positioned to be that and with $94.1 in projected cap space, they will have the spending room to make it happen.

With that being said, let’s take a look at three reasons why Keenan Allen to the New England Patriots in 2021 would be an ideal pairing.
