Denzel Mims may not be a household name yet with the 2020 NFL Draft just weeks away, but he has been growing in popularity since being one of the top stars at the NFL Draft Combine. The Baylor standout wide receiver is an athletic freak who has great size to go with it.
Standing in at 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, Mims is a physical beast who will cause problems at the next level. He can make plays down the field with his speed and athleticism. Mims also can run a full route tree and could be one of the bigger steals in the draft depending on how far he falls.
Due to this draft class having big names like Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, and Henry Ruggs III at the top of the wide receiver food chain, Mims has gone relatively under-the-radar.
Last season with Baylor, Mims caught 66 passes for 1,020 yards and 12 touchdowns. He averaged 15.5 yards per reception and showed the ability to be a solid possession wide receiver rather than just a deep threat.
Looking ahead to the NFL Draft, let’s take a look at a few teams who would be perfect fits for Mims.
