Alshon Jeffery, Wide Receiver
Alshon Jeffery is considered one of the league’s elite wide receivers, and he definitely played like one on Sunday. Jeffrey finished with seven catches for 88 yards and a touchdown against the Panthers, finding the end zone for the fourth time in four games.
Jeffery now has 25 receptions for 306 yards this year after missing the first three games following offseason surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff. And his 11-yard TD reception in the second quarter of Sunday’s contest accounted for the game’s first score.
The 28-year-old also appeared to have another TD catch in the fourth quarter. However, Panthers cornerback James Bradberry intentionally grabbed him to keep him from notching the go-ahead score. The result was a 48-yard pass interference penalty, but Bradberry was more than willing to take that over giving up a long TD pass.
But it was still a great day for Jeffery, who continues to be a focal point of the Eagles’ offense.
