Philadelphia Eagles: 3 perfect free agency targets for the defense

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Jadeveon Clowney, Edge Rusher, Seattle Seahawks

Ahead of the trade that sent Jadeveon Clowney to the Seahawks, the Eagles were rumored to be one of the top potential landing spots for him. The team needed to add more pass rushing, but they were unable to land him via trade.

Now, they will have another opportunity to acquire him should they choose to spend the money. Clowney is looking to join a contender this offseason and could end up re-signing with the Seahawks. However, the Eagles can offer him a chance to contend.

Clowney does have issues with the fans in Philadelphia. They have let him hear it for his hits on both Nick Foles and Carson Wentz. If he can get over that and ends up signing with the Eagles, the fans would come around to him very quickly.
