The Philadelphia Eagles have revealed two major injury updates on two offensive stars heading into their Wild Card Round matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

First of all, quarterback Jalen Hurts was a full participant in practice on Friday after previously being limited due to a finger injury he suffered during the Eagles’ Week 18 loss to the New York Giants, via Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk.

Earlier in the week, Hurts said that he had not even thrown a football since last Sunday’s defeat, but now, it appears that he is definitely trending toward playing against the Buccaneers on Monday.

Meanwhile, wide receiver A.J. Brown missed practice again as he recovers from a knee injury he sustained versus the Giants last weekend. His status for next week remains up in the air.

Hurts dislocated the middle finger on his throwing hands in the first half of the season finale. He returned to the game, but did not come out for the second half with Philadelphia already trailing 24-0.

The 25-year-old had a rather pedestrian regular season overall, throwing for 3,858 yards, 23 touchdowns and 15 interceptions while completing 65.4 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 89.1. He also rushed for 605 yards and 15 scores, averaging 3.9 yards per carry.

This came after a 2022 campaign in which Hurts finished second in MVP voting and led Philly to a Super Bowl appearance.

Brown hauled in 106 receptions for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns this year en route to his third Pro Bowl selection. However, his production tailed off at the end of the season, with six of his seven 100-yard performances coming between Weeks 3 and 8.

The Eagles lost five of their last six regular-season games to fall to 11-6, knocking them out of first place in the NFC East after they appeared set to cruise to another division title.
