Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens was not happy after his team’s win over the Tennessee Titans last Thursday.

Pickens logged two catches for negative-1 yard in the win, and afterward, he took to social media to express his displeasure with his role, posting “Free Me” and removing all Steelers-related content from his Instagram. He also unfollowed head coach Mike Tomlin and quarterback Kenny Pickett.

When asked about his social media outburst on Wednesday, Pickens shrugged it off.

“I don’t really mix social media and football together,” Pickens said, via Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com. “Clearing out my page. Not really too crazy. It’s got nothing to do with the Steelers at all.”

That seems pretty hard to believe.

During Pittsburgh’s victory over the Titans, Pickens also appeared to be visibly upset after teammate Diontae Johnson caught a touchdown pass.

The 22-year-old downplayed his reaction, saying he was “just getting back to the sideline” and added that Johnson’s score “engineered the victory, so I don’t know how I could be mad at that.”

Johnson and running back Najee Harris both spoke to Pickens about his antics, with Harris explaining that while there is nothing wrong with being frustrated, you have to handle it the right way.

Earlier on Wednesday, Tomlin called the whole situation a “pebble in my shoe.” That’s probably true, considering Tomlin had to deal with Antonio Brown for years.

George Pickens has logged 30 catches for 521 yards and three touchdowns this season. During his rookie campaign last year, he hauled in 52 receptions for 801 yards and four scores.

The Steelers are 5-3 and will take on the Green Bay Packers this Sunday.
