As the 2020 NFL season continues to draw closer, the Philadelphia Eagles are going to be an intriguing team to keep an eye on. After coming back to take the NFC East division title from the Dallas Cowboys last season, the Eagles are hoping to come back with an even stronger season this year. Miles Sanders will have a big role in that effort.
Last season as a rookie, Sanders stepped up and showed the Eagles that they have a potential star in their backfield. They ended up letting Jordan Howard walk in free agency. Obviously, they are expecting even more from the young back in 2020.
Sanders carried the football 179 times for 818 yards and three touchdowns last season. He also caught 50 passes for 509 yards and three more scores.
Those numbers show a glimpse of the star potential that Sanders possesses. He is a dual-threat back that should have an even bigger role this year. The Eagles definitely need him to make the most of that bigger role.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at what the Eagles should be expecting from Miles Sanders in his second season.
