Predicting the 2020 NFL season for Patriots WR Julian Edelman

The New England Patriots are heading into the 2020 NFL season looking like a completely different team. Tom Brady is no longer in town after leaving to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency. One guy who is still in town is star wide receiver Julian Edelman.

Even though the quarterback change will be rough and it’s the end of an amazing era, the Patriots should still be competitive. Cam Newton was signed late in the offseason and should end up being the starter fairly early on in the year. Not to mention, Bill Belichick is still the head coach.

Edelman will be an incredibly important part of the offense once again. New England is expecting a big jump from N’Keal Harry this season, but Edelman is still the No. 1 guy who will be depended on greatly no matter who the quarterback is throughout the season.

During the 2019 season with the Patriots, Edelman ended up catching 100 passes for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns. He is the definition of a star possession wide receiver. That is something that most teams would pay a lot of money to have.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at what the Patriots should be expecting from Julian Edelman this season.
