What To Expect From Josh Jacobs In 2020

Jon Gruden and the Raiders have to be excited about their offense this season. Derek Carr has received a ton of criticism over the last couple of years, but he is still capable of big numbers. Jacobs will take a ton of pressure off of the passing game, keeping defenses guessing.

In order for the Raiders to make a Wild Card run, they will need their second-year running back to come through with an even better year than he had in year one.

Thankfully, the running game will be opened up by the passing game even more this year. The Raiders went out and drafted Henry Ruggs III in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. That move will force defenses to pay much more attention.

Jacobs did miss three games last season. That information makes his numbers look even more impressive.

Predicting the season for Jacobs is no easy task. No one knows how much more the Raiders will rely on their passing game. Gruden loves to throw the football and with more weapons, he could lean much more heavily on Carr.

However, the Raiders are still going to pound the football on the ground. Jacobs is still going to put up big numbers when everything is said and done.

It would be reasonable to expect around 1,300 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. He should also end up with around 30 receptions for 250 yards and another couple scores.

Expect to see Josh Jacobs take a big step forward in his second season. The Raiders are going to like what they see and Jacobs will make himself a household name with a massive year.
