The Las Vegas Raiders were extremely happy to select former Alabama standout wide receiver Henry Ruggs III with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. After years of searching for a legitimate star No. 1 wideout, Jon Gruden and company feel like they were finally able to get just that.

Last season, the Raiders’ offense took a step forward with the additions of Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow. Darren Waller also became a star tight end. Now, Las Vegas is going to look even more lethal with Ruggs on the field.

During the 2019 season with the Crimson Tide, Ruggs ended up catching 40 passes for 746 yards and seven touchdowns. The year before he racked up 46 catches for 741 yards and 11 scores.

Standing in at 6-foot-0 and 190 pounds, Ruggs isn’t a huge target. However, what he lacks in size he makes up for in speed. He is one of the fastest wide receivers in the NFL right off the bat in his rookie season.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at what the Raiders should be expecting from Henry Ruggs III in year one.
