What To Expect From Marquise Brown In 2020
First and foremost, the Ravens did not go out and make major moves at the wide receiver position this offseason. Instead, they chose to bring in Devin Duvernay in the 2020 NFL Draft. Outside of that move, no other impact players were brought in.
Obviously, that means that the Ravens are comfortable with trusting Brown to be their No. 1 wideout. Behind him, Baltimore will rely on Willie Snead and Miles Boykin. Both of those guys are quality wideouts, but they don’t have a chance to be a top target.
With top-notch speed, the 23-year-old Brown is a lethal playmaker. Lamar Jackson and Brown connected on a few massive plays throughout the 2019 season.
Now, with that being said, predicting an entire season for any player is a difficult task. But, there are some reasonable things to expect from Brown.
Brown should easily be able to rack up around 72 receptions for right around 1,000 yards and eight or nine touchdowns. That kind of leap would prove that the Ravens have a true top wideout. He would show why teams made a mistake by passing on him through the first 24 picks of the 2019 draft.
The Ravens have legitimate Super Bowl potential this season. If the defense plays up to their capabilities and the offense takes a step forward, they will be able to compete with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Expect to see Marquise Brown take a big step forward this season. He may not be an elite star anytime soon, but he absolutely could end up being one of the top playmaking wide receivers in the AFC.
