Predicting the 2020 season for Bears QB Nick Foles

Nick Foles 2020 Outlook

Outside of two separate runs with the Eagles under different head coaches, Foles has been a below-average quarterback when he’s gotten a chance. He’s not outstanding in any area, beyond incalculable intangibles perhaps. The glimpses of high level success he has had can be credited to offensive scheme and play-calling more than his raw talent. But then again, being merely below average would be better than the 2019 version of Trubisky.

Assuming a full season, or something close, one of the safest bets (theoretically or actual money) in the NFL this year is Foles and Trubisky each starting multiple games for the Bears. When I say multiple, I mean at least five a piece. The questions are who starts Week 1, and who will start more games.

I’m going with Foles to start more games for the Bears in 2020. I’ll say he starts 10 of a full 16 games, and root my projection there.

Nick Foles 2020 Projection: 2,315 passing yards, 14 TD, 10 INT
