Predicting who each NFC West team will take in the first round of the NFL Draft

NFC West, NFL Draft
NFL Analysis Network

The NFC West only has two teams with a draft pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, but they will surely be loading up their rosters with more talent in a loaded division.

One of the busiest divisions in the NFL this offseason has without a doubt been the NFC West, and this NFL Draft could enhance their rosters even more.

With that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at our predictions for who each team in the division will take in the first round.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are the first team without a draft pick in the first round this year, as they got rid of theirs for their star safety Jamal Adams.

The Seahawks, however, could trade into the first round, and if they do they could have their sights set on some impressive offensive line talent or possibly a big name edge rusher if one happens to slide. Don’t rule out anything when it comes to the Seattle Seahawks.

Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have one of the most impressive overall rosters, and they’re currently my pick to win the NFC West next season. The Cardinals could improve their odds even more by cashing in with the first round pick of Alabama running back Najee Harris.

Harris is widely considered to be the best running back in the 2021 NFL Draft class and the Cardinals have a need at the position. Adding a talented back like Harris could give the Cardinals the final piece to the puzzle.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams are the second team in the NFC West without a first-round draft pick this year, but they could still look to trade up into the first round. The Rams need to add some depth to their defense and a guy like Zaven Collins or Nick Bolton, who could fall late into the first round, could tempt the Rams into trading back up into the first round of the NFL Draft.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers made headlines when they made a deal with the Miami Dolphins to snag the number three overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and they could use the pick to land their quarterback of the future. I fully expect the 49ers to draft Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields, even though reports have surfaced that they’ve set their sights on Alabama quarterback Mac Jones.

Fields is hands down the most talented quarterback behind Trevor Lawrence and the 49ers would be crazy to pass up on a talent like him. He will be a huge upgrade over Jimmy Garoppolo within the first few years of his career.
