There is no question that the Raiders are a team to keep an eye on for a Wild Card spot in the AFC playoff picture. Last season, they remained in playoff contention until the final weeks of the season.

No one would go as far as to say that the Raiders are Super Bowl contenders, but they are a good football team. Their defense will need to step up more moving forward, but they have the talent to make that happen.

Beating the Saints is no easy task. If the Raiders can make that happen, they would be demanding respect from the rest of the league. Without further delay, here are three bold predictions for Las Vegas as they take on the Saints.

3. Josh Jacobs Rips Up The New Orleans Defense

After carrying the football 25 times for 93 yards and three touchdowns in Week 1, Jacobs will be back with another huge performance in Week 2. The Saints have a good defense, but they won’t be able to hold Jacobs down. He will end up rushing for 100 yards and another two scores.

2. The Defense Holds Drew Brees To Under 230 Passing Yards

Without Michael Thomas on the field for the Saints, the Raiders are going to have a good defensive game against the pass. Jared Cook, Alvin Kamara, and Emmanuel Sanders are still a threat to be dealt with. But, the Raiders will do a great job and will hold Brees to under 230 yards.

1. Las Vegas Pulls Out A Shocking Week 2 Win

Finally, we’re going to go ahead and make this prediction. While the Raiders are without question viewed as an underdog this week, they will get the win. Moving to 2-0 against the Saints will be a major confidence booster and will bring a lot of attention from around the NFL.

We are predicting that the Raiders will defeat the Saints by a final score of 35-27.
