Raiders: 3 key X-Factors for Las Vegas against the Panthers in Week 1

The Raiders will begin their first season in Las Vegas against the Carolina Panthers. Jon Gruden and Derek Carr are back and expect to compete in a very competitive AFC West.

Las Vegas will have a chance to get a game in against a rebuilding Panthers’ team. Outside of Christian McCaffrey, the Panthers are an unknown commodity with a rookie head coach in Matt Rhule.

The Raiders made improvements to their roster on both sides of the ball. They added depth and speed to the wide receiver corps while improving their group of linebackers.

Heading into the season, the Raiders will be a younger team with a bigger upside than a season ago. In Week 1, they should have the upper hand in a game against a team that will be playing in a completely new system. Teddy Bridgewater will be under center but the team seems to be a question mark outside of the running back position.

This is a perfect time for the Raiders to take advantage of a rebuilding team. To do so, these three x-factors will have to take over the game.
