2. Henry Ruggs III
Henry Ruggs III was the first receiver taken in the 2020 NFL Draft. The class was extremely deep but Gruden opted for Ruggs over Jerry Jeudy and CeeDee Lamb. He is a speedy receiver who was going to be a big part of the offense but now, it will be even bigger.
The Raiders had to put Tyrell Williams on IR with a shoulder injury. This puts Ruggs into the No. 1 receiver spot with Hunter Renfrow and Bryan Edwards behind him.
Las Vegas will also have Zay Jones and Nelson Agholor on the bench. As a rookie, Ruggs will have to learn quickly and establish a connection with Carr.
The Alabama product was one of the fastest players in the draft. He is a true deep ball threat and a player that an offense could rely on in college. It will be interesting to see how the Raiders use him at the next level.
