1. Front-Seven

The Raiders made some improvements to their front seven and they will be tested right away. There is no question that Christian McCaffrey is the biggest weapon in Carolina and arguably the biggest weapon in the league. If he is contained, the Raiders will have a good day.

This is a job for the new linebacking group in Las Vegas. The Raiders added Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkoski in the offseason. They are both quick linebackers who can blow up a game plan for an opposing offense.

McCaffrey is an elite pass-catcher out of the backfield and can carry the load. He is a strong pass blocker as well. The Raiders’ defense has to be up to the task in Week 1.

The Raiders will enter this game as a three-point favorite. This is a line that has moved because of the public on the Raiders. This is no surprise given the state of the Panthers. The front seven for the Raiders is immensely important in this game because of the lack of depth behind McCaffrey.
