4. Release Zay Jones

The Raiders made it a point of emphasis to add wide receiver help on the outside. This was made clear when they used their first draft pick on Ruggs. He will join Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow as weapons for Carr. The Raiders also signed Agholor which means Jones could be the odd man out.

Jones spent the first two years of his career with the Buffalo Bills. During his third season, he was traded to the Raiders. Jones totaled just 20 catches in 10 games. In 2018, Jones looked promising when he put up 652 yards and seven touchdowns in Buffalo. The 25-year old wide receiver is a player that fans are rooting for, but it would not make much sense to keep him around.

The Raiders’ offense will be improved from a season ago. In the AFC West, they will need to score points to keep up. Unfortunately, Jones does not fit much into that plan.
