1. Trade for Yannick Ngakoue
The Jacksonville Jaguars have said that they are not interested in trading Ngakoue. This does not mean that they are not entertaining offers. Not to mention that the Pro Bowler has expressed interest in a trade.
In four years, Ngakoue has totaled 37.5 sacks. He signed his franchise tender with the Jaguars that will pay him $17.7 million in 2020. Contract talks have gone on between the two sides but nothing has happened yet. And it is unlikely that anything will. Trading Ngakoue seems unavoidable for Jacksonville. Now the question is, where could he go?
The New York Jets and New England Patriots have come out as possibilities. The Raiders also remain in the hunt. Las Vegas is also in the mix for Jadeveon Clowney. The Raiders traded away Khalil Mack and have been in need of a dominant defensive force ever since. That is what Ngakoue could be in Vegas.
As camp progresses, we will continue to keep an eye on the situation down in Jacksonville. The Raiders should be on the phone daily trying to work a deal for Ngakoue and take their defense up a notch.
