Raiders’ Davante Adams Hints At Potential Future Trade Request

Davante Adams, Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has remained one of the top players in the NFL at his position since arriving in Sin City last year. The Raiders acquired him from the Green Bay Packers and thought he would be the missing piece to help get the team over the top.

While Davante Adams has held up his end of the bargain, the team still needs to. Las Vegas has done a lot of losing since he joined the team and that continued on Sunday Night Football in Week 3.

Hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Raiders lost their second consecutive game. After getting their doors blown off in Week 2 against the San Francisco 49ers, this was certainly not what they had in mind hosting their long-time rivals in primetime.

But, for anyone watching on television or at Allegiant Stadium, it would have been easy to mistake that for a Steelers home game. Yellow terrible towels were waved throughout the game and the cheers were louder when something positive happened for Pittsburgh.

Such is life for the Raiders, who have yet to make their stamps in Las Vegas truly. Steelers fans also travel well, but last night had to be a wake-up call for the franchise, especially after hearing Davante Adams’ post-game comments.

The star wide receiver didn’t mince words suffering another loss in a game in which he dominated. The Steelers had no answer for him, as he caught 13 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns. After the game, however, his comments could have been taken as someone looking for a change of scenery.

Could a Davante Adams trade request be coming? Add that to the evergrowing list of issues that the Raiders have to work through. Trade rumors swirled around him this offseason after the franchise moved on from Derek Carr; don’t be surprised if they start up again with Las Vegas dropping in the standings.
