Raiders named top potential landing spot for QB Dak Prescott

The Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott were unable to get an extension done prior to Wednesday’s deadline. Now, the focus has shifted to where Prescott could end up if he leaves Dallas next offseason. One team that has been mentioned as the top landing spot is the Las Vegas Raiders.

According to odds from SportsLine, the Raiders have been listed as the team with the top odds to land Prescott if he leaves the Cowboys.

Prescott would be a huge addition for the Raiders. They currently have both Derek Carr and Marcus Mariota on their roster, but neither guy would bring what Prescott could to their offense.

Last season with the Cowboys, Prescott was involved on and off in the MVP conversation. Unfortunately, he did not end up winning the award.

During the 2019 campaign, Prescott completed 65.1 percent of his pass attempts for 4,902 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Those numbers show the kind of talent that Prescott possesses. A team like the Raiders should absolutely look to bring him in.

At just 26 years old, the future is bright for Prescott. He still has room to improve his game. Las Vegas would be a great place for him to start fresh and continue growing.

Jon Gruden loves working with quarterbacks. He would absolutely love the chance to work with Prescott. Carr and Mariota are good players, but if Gruden had the chance at Prescott, it’s hard to imagine the Raiders would pass on it.

Rumors are going to fly surrounding Prescott following the 2020 NFL season. Quite a few teams are going to line up with interest in signing him.

Expect to see the Raiders strongly consider a pursuit of Dak Prescott. He would be a perfect addition and would take their offense to the next level. This is certainly something to keep an eye on.
