Raiders: New statistic shows just how dominant LB Cory Littleton was in 2019

Cory Littleton didn’t receive a ton of hype in free agency this offseason, but the Las Vegas Raiders could not be more excited to have snagged him. When they made the move to sign him, they brought in one of the biggest steals of the offseason.

During the 2019 season with the Los Angeles Rams, Littleton showed that he was one of the top inside linebackers in the NFL. He racked up 134 tackles to go along with 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, two interceptions, and nine defended passes.

Talk about a stat-stuffing inside linebacker. Las Vegas desperately needed help at the position as well, which makes this one of the best fits throughout the entire NFL free agency period.

Now, Pro Football Focus has taken to Twitter to post an insane statistic that shows just how dominant Littleton was during the 2019 season. He only missed one tackle in 1,039 defensive snaps. That statistic is something Raiders fans should eat up and feed on for excitement.

At just 26 years of age, Littleton still has a few years left in his prime and could still improve as well. That is a scary thought for opposing offenses going up against him.

Jon Gruden and the Raiders have quite a few reasons to be excited about the upcoming 2020 NFL season. They made quite a few great additions this offseason, including Littleton, and their defense should take a big step in the right direction.

Littleton will be asked to step in and take over a major leadership role immediately. He will be more than ready for that task. His presence alone will solidify the middle of the Raiders’ defense and he could even take his game to the next level in 2020.

Expect to see Littleton continue showing off a level of dominance that will take his name to elite status. Las Vegas should be excited to see what 2020 has in store for their defense with Littleton leading the way.
