The 2022 NFL Draft has come and gone and there were quite a few shocking trades and shocking picks throughout the process. While the Las Vegas Raiders didn’t make their first pick until the No. 90 overall selection, a lot of analysts love what they were able to do. Of course, the Raiders didn’t have picks in the first two rounds due to the massive blockbuster trade to acquire Davante Adams from the Green Bay Packers.

Despite not having a pick until the third round, the Raiders have to feel good about who they got. Most notably, the team drafted offensive lineman Dylan Parham with the No. 90 overall pick and then also snagged running back Zamir White in the fourth round at No. 122 overall.

Following the draft, the Raiders received a stunning grade for the value they were able to get throughout the draft. According to NFL reporter Warren Sharp, the Raiders had the No. 4 draft in terms of value for their selections.

Over the last few years, the Raiders have been slowly building their roster into a Super Bowl contender. Heading into the 2022 NFL season, they have to be a team that people recognize as a potential threat.

Not only did Las Vegas go out and trade for Adams, they also made a huge splash in free agency with the addition of star pass-rusher Chandler Jones. Add those two guys in with a great nucleus already in place and some solid draft additions, and this team is going to be no joke this season.

It will be interesting to see how Josh McDaniels and company perform this season. The pressure will be on them to be a serious contender in the AFC. If they play up to their full potential, that pressure shouldn’t be anything to worry about.

Expect to see some of these young guys carve out immediate roles for themselves with the Raiders. The 2022 NFL Draft wasn’t full of star-caliber athlete for Las Vegas, but they still got great value.
