Round 2, Pick 52: Prince Tega Wanogho (OT, Auburn)
Throughout this season, the offensive line was a glaring issue for the Rams. Despite being 38-years-old, Andrew Whitworth is still the most reliable member of the offensive line.
First things first, Los Angeles needs to do everything they can to retain Whitworth at left tackle for another season. Along with re-signing Whitworth, the Rams would be wise to draft their future blindside protector for Jared Goff.
Over the past couple of seasons, the Rams drafted guys like Joseph Noteboom, David Edwards, and Bobby Evans in hopes they could become future starters. Thus far, none of them have shown enough to be capable of achieving that.
Therefore, Los Angeles should target an offensive tackle with their first pick of the draft. If they are interested in a future starting tackle, the Rams should look no further than Prince Tega Wanogho out of Auburn.
Besides the elite name, Wanogho has the potential to become an elite pass blocker in the NFL. Plus, with his athleticism and strength, he is a perfect fit for a zone-blocking scheme.
