The Green Bay Packers are coming off of an impressive season in 2019 that saw them finish the regular season with a 13-3 record. Matt LaFleur was also able to lead his team to a Divisional Round win over the Seattle Seahawks in his first postseason game as a head coach. Unfortunately, the miracle run came to an end in the NFC Championship Game with a 37-20 loss against the San Francisco 49ers.
Aaron Rodgers made it clear that football was fun again for the team after missing the playoffs in the two seasons previous to 2019. A new era of football began in Green Bay under LaFleur.
Now, the Packers are heading into an offseason full of intriguing options. They don’t have a ton of money to spend, but Green Bay is an attractive free agency landing spot once again. Brian Gutekunst has worked his magic in the past and has given the players and fans alike reason to trust him.
Looking back on the 2019 season, the Packers had quite a few players step up and play big-time roles. The stars are the obvious names that come up, but there were some underrated performances this season.
