Indianapolis Colts Running Back, Jonathan Taylor
Jonathan Taylor out of Wisconsin was the number one back on most big boards entering draft weekend. The Colts snagging him in the second round was an absolute steal for them.
He’ll probably be the feature back from day one, even with Marlon Mack in the same backfield. Head coach Frank Reich said he envisions a “one-two punch” out of this duo, but Taylor’s talent may earn him the starting role during his rookie campaign.
Reich’s offense is predicated on the run, so expect Taylor to get a solid workload from day one. During his collegiate career, Taylor totaled over 6,100 yards and 50 touchdowns.
He’s used to being the workhorse back at Wisconsin, so he should have no issue filling that role with the Colts.
