Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles
Much of the focus when discussing Carson Wentz is his inability to stay healthy during the playoffs as opposed to his actual impact as a player. He put together a productive 2019 campaign despite having one of the absolute most underwhelming receiving corps in all of the NFL.
Through 16 performances, Wentz completed 63.9% of his pass attempts and finished with 4,039 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. He may not have put up MVP caliber numbers as he did back in 2017 and that has likely contributed to him becoming a bit forgotten about.
The upcoming season should feature greater results from Wentz considering his supporting cast will be better. Adding a talent like Jalen Reagor from the 2020 NFL Draft will help add speed and spread the field for other options. In addition, DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery will be healthy.
A potential breakout season from Miles Sanders could be the ultimate factor that comes into play for Carson Wentz. Having a dual-threat back in addition to a more talented and healthier receiving group is a perfect combination for the quarterback to elevate his production.
