The New York Giants turned some heads when they selected Daniel Jones with the No. 6 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. It’s safe to say that most fans feel a bit better about the selection after seeing him play.
The rookie quarterback out of Duke wouldn’t make his regular-season debut until Week 3. But once he was inserted into the offense, the Giants had a much-needed spark in the offense.
Despite missing three games, Jones finished the season with 3,027 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Considering the circumstances, Jones had a successful rookie campaign with the Giants.
The Giants would end the 2019 season with a 4-12 record, which would be good enough for third place in the NFC East. After taking Jones with the sixth-overall pick in 2019, the Giants will have the No. 4 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Like most rookie quarterbacks, Jones had plenty of ups and downs to begin his career. Even though the Giants went 3-10 with Jones as the starter, he had quite a few games that provided optimism for the New York faithful. With that in mind, here are Jones’ best games from the 2019 season.
