4. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
The player who’s taken the biggest leap this season has been Bills QB Josh Allen. Allen has mad the leap from erratic, entertaining gunslinger to a truly great QB. The addition of Stefon Diggs has made a significant impact on the young QB’s progress. While admittedly, this is being written before the Bills vs Titans game, Allen has been incredible early on this season. He is a must watch QB who’s capable of making exciting plays with his cannon arm or as a powerful running QB.
Although he is having a career year, Allen hasn’t been perfect. He has missed a few throws and made some questionable decisions with the football. He hasn’t been perfect, but he is making big plays when his team needs them. Currently the Bills are sitting at the top of the AFC East without a loss. They are playing another undefeated team in the Titans this week. It will be an important matchup to gauge where this Bills team sits as contenders.
While the Titans are currently undefeated as well, the Bills have beaten two very good teams in the Raiders and the Rams. The Dolphins have also shown their no cake-walk after a dominant win over San Francisco. The Bills are playing winning football and Josh Allen is the key to this teams success. If he keeps this level of play up throughout the year, there’s a chance he jumps from four to one. Like I mentioned earlier, as of right now this is an incredibly tight race for the MVP.
