Ranking the NFL’s top MVP candidates entering Week 6

2. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

Coming off a bye week, Rodgers is looking like he’s still at the top of his game. The future Hall of Famer and NFL veteran is dominating opposing defenses. It looks like this Packers offense will be virtually impossible to stop. Many were questioning if Rodgers still had the juice or if we were seeing the beginning of the end for the Packers legend. Well, so far Rodgers is playing as well as he did in 2011 and 2014 when Rodgers won MVP.

While many saw last season as a down year for Rodgers, he was still able to lead Green Bay to an NFC Championship. Rodgers has been doing all this without much of a receiving core either. Pro Bowl wideout Devante Adams was incredible in week 1, but went down with an injury in week two and has yet to return. The Rodgers train kept rolling, however, slicing apart defenses with surgical precision.

This is a Jordan-esque quote. It’s clear that this season things seem a bit personal for Rodgers. While he doesn’t have to prove his greatness to anyone, Rodgers is doing it anyway. The Packers QB is on a mission this season. NFL defenses beware, we are seeing a motivated Aaron Rodgers.
