Ranking the top five running back rooms entering the 2020 NFL season

5. New Orleans Saints

Notable running backs: Alvin Kamara, Latavius Murray, Ty Montgomery

The New Orleans Saints are the first team on the list with a proven dynamic duo of Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray. Since entering the NFL in 2017, Kamara has shown that he’s one of the most electric players — not just running backs — in the entire league.

While Kamara can be lethal as a receiving threat along with his rushing abilities, Murray is a running back that excels at running downhill between the tackles. In his first year with the Saints in 2019, Murray rushed for 637 yards and five rushing touchdowns.

Not long ago, New Orleans added Ty Montgomery, giving them a versatile option behind Kamara and Murray. Montgomery is a wide-receiver-turned-running-back that is capable of lining up anywhere on the field. There’s no doubt that Sean Payton will have a field day configuring ways to involve each running back in 2020.
