Ranking the top five running back rooms entering the 2020 NFL season

2. Baltimore Ravens

Notable running backs: Mark Ingram, J.K. Dobbins, Justice Hill, Gus Edwards

The one team that saw more fruitful results in the ground game last season than the 49ers was the Baltimore Ravens. Altogether, the Ravens rushed for 206 yards per game, giving them the most lethal rushing attack in the entire NFL.

While Lamar Jackson contributes to the running game, Baltimore also has a few running backs that can cause damage to a defense. Mark Ingram is entering his second year with the Ravens, after rushing for 1,018 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2019.

Along with Ingram, Baltimore is bringing back Justice Hill and Gus Edwards. Even with those three already on the roster, the Ravens couldn’t afford to pass on the opportunity to select J.K. Dobbins with the No. 55 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. With the backfield group that Baltimore has in 2020, we may see Jackson be required to run the ball a bit less than last year.
