Ravens: 4 moves Baltimore should still try to make before the season

Packers, Clay Matthews
USA TODAY Sports

4. Sign Clay Matthews

Clay Matthews is currently a free agent after spending 2019 with the Los Angeles Rams. Despite being 34-years old, Matthews looks like he has some left in the tank. He finished with eight sacks for the Rams last season.

This is a player that would instantly bolster the Ravens’ pass rushing unit. The Ravens finished with just 37 sacks last season. They made a trade for Calais Campbell this offseason but they should not be content with the one move.

Baltimore has shown interest in Matthews in the past, but they were never able to pull the trigger. Not to mention, Matthews playfully mentioned that he should have signed with the Ravens last season.

The Ravens could use a boost at linebacker and Matthews would do this right away. He is a winning player who could help the Ravens in pursuit of a Super Bowl in 2020.
