Lamar Jackson, Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are 2-1 heading into their star-studded Week 4 matchup with the Buffalo Bills. That is going to be a really fun matchup for football fans as Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen are going to be going head-to-head.

Jackson and Allen are part of the early group of frontrunners to take home the MVP award. For Jackson, each game that he plays he is adding money to his next contract. Playing out the fifth-year option on his rookie deal, he must be seeing dollar signs every time he steps on the field.

Through three games, Jackson has been unstoppable. Despite losing his No. 1 wide receiver in Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals in a draft day trade, Jackson has not missed a beat. Defenses haven’t had an answer for him yet and he picked apart the New England Patriots in Week 3.

The Ravens went on the road and won decisively, 37-26. New England is known for having some excellent defenses under Bill Belichick, but on Sunday afternoon, they were left in the dust as nothing they tried was capable of slowing Jackson down.

Known for their bend but don’t break defense, New England broke on five separate occasions. Baltimore was a perfect five-for-five in the red zone courtesy of Jackson’s wizardry. According to PFF, he threw only one incompletion in the red zone against the Patriots, throwing for four touchdowns and running in another.

The Patriots are far from the last team that will get beat to that degree by Lamar Jackson. His dual-threat abilities were on full display as he completed 62.1 percent of his passes for 218 yards and added 107 yards on the ground.

Game planning against him is getting more difficult as he gets more comfortable in the passing game. His next hurdle will come against the Bills, who have one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks of their own leading the way.
