Former All-Pro wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will be returning to the field in 2023 with the Baltimore Ravens for the first time in a long time. The last time that he was on the field was during Super Bowl 56 when he was a member of the Los Angeles Rams.

Odell Beckham Jr. helped the Rams win the Super Bowl, but it came at a cost. He was playing on what he knew was a bum knee as the first ACL surgery that he underwent with the Cleveland Browns didn’t actually repair his ACL. Gutting it out for his team, he knew he didn’t have much left to offer, but he was able to make an impact before the knee gave out.

It led to another lengthy rehab for Odell Beckham Jr. who missed the entire 2022 season. He talked to a few teams during the year, as the Buffalo BillsDallas Cowboys and New York Giants all showed some level of interest in signing him.

Ultimately, he ended up sitting out as he wasn’t ready to play. He has now been taking part in workouts and practices with the Ravens in preparation for the 2023 season. However, there was a time when Odell Beckham Jr. thought his playing career was over.

“I went through a lot the last couple of years, and I thought it was over,” Beckham said about rehabbing his knee last year. “I didn’t want to get back up on the horse and do the same song and dance all over again.”

Motivated by a few different factors, Odell Beckham Jr. was able to find the strength to go through the rehab again, putting himself to land a lucrative contract with the Ravens. In the end, it all worked out well.

There weren’t many better landing spots for him as he will be catching passes from one of the best quarterbacks in the league in Lamar Jackson. On top of that, he will be playing in a system with excellent coaches in John Harbaugh and Todd Monken.

While Odell Beckham Jr. has hinted that this could be his last season in the NFL, he is going to give it everything that he has got. If this is his swan song, he will attempt to go out on top.
