Redskins: 3 late free agency targets Washington should pursue

Taylor Gabriel, Wide Receiver

Finally, the Redskins could also use another wide receiver. Terry McLaurin is the clear No. 1 weapon for Washington, but they could use another solid veteran behind him.

Taylor Gabriel is still a free agent and quite a few teams will come calling as the season draws closer. He caught 29 passes for 353 yards and four touchdowns last season with the Chicago Bears. Washington wouldn’t be getting a star with this move, but they would be getting a quality player.

At this point in time, the Redskins don’t have a proven No. 2 wide receiver. They have names like Steven Sims Jr., Kelvin Harmon, and Trey Quinn at the position. Gabriel would come in immediately and contend for that role.

Having a deep burner like Gabriel would be valuable for a team like the Redskins. Haskins has a big arm and needs playmakers. That should make this move a no-brainer if the Redskins are willing to make it.
