Redskins: 3 numbers for Chase Young to target in 2020

Chase Young is a name that many NFL fans have a close eye on heading into the 2020 NFL season. After being drafted with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins, many believe that Young has the potential to be an immediate superstar.

After putting together a huge career with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Young is going to be a huge part of trying to turn the Redskins around. Ron Rivera is a defensive-minded head coach and he has a great cornerstone in Young. His ability to get to the quarterback and simply make plays will be huge for Washington.

Last season with the Buckeyes, Young ended up racking up 46 total tackles to go along with 16.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, and three defended passes. He stands in at 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds with extreme athleticism. Very few offensive lineman are going to be able to shut Young completely down.

Washington has not been viewed as a contender for quite some time. Finally, however, they are heading in the right direction. The Redskins brought in the right head coach and they are building their talent the right way.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three numbers Young should be targeting in his rookie season with the Redskins.
