The Pass Rush Must Get Back to Dominance
Secondly, the Saints’ pass rush was absolutely lethal last season. Against Tampa Bay in Week 1, the Saints didn’t get to the quarterback once. That changed in Week 2 with three sacks, but New Orleans only had four quarterback hits throughout the game.
While some may think the defense was dominant last year, that was not the case. They were full of playmakers that were able to make big plays off of mistakes from opposing quarterbacks who were pressured.
New Orleans has to get back to aggressively getting into the backfield and forcing opposing quarterbacks to make mistakes.
