Saints: 5 Reasons New Orleans will Win Super Bowl LIII

No. 3: New Orleans will have home-field advantage

Being that the Saints should be very good this season, they should be able to secure home advantage in the NFC. Whether it’s the one or two seed, a team will have to come to play in New Orleans if they want to advance.

As a dome team, the Saints perform better when they are at home. In their eight home games last season, the Saints averaged 30 points per game. While on the road, they only averaged 25, which is nearly a touchdown drop-off.

That is very important, seeing that most NFL games are won by a margin of one score.

When in New Orleans, the Saints seem to somewhat unbeatable. Just last season they went 7-1 in their eight home games. At home, the offense is hitting on all cylinders and the defense plays better when it has the energy of the home fans to feed off. As far as those 48 points allowed to the Buccaneers in Week 1? Let’s consider that an anomaly and not what to expect moving forward.

If the road to Super Bowl has to come through New Orleans, expect the Saints to defense their home turf.
