Saints: 5 Reasons New Orleans will Win Super Bowl LIII

No. 2: The Saints were on the verge last season

Even though 2017 was a great season for the Saints, it ended very tragically. The Saints were on the receiving end of the “Minnesota Miracle” that eliminated them from the playoffs. But just being in such a close playoff like the divisional game versus the Vikings gives this Saints team something to build on.

Many fans and members in the media already believed that Drew Brees-led team would have fared way better than the Vikings did in the NFC Championship game. Alvin Kamara, the Saints breakout 2017 rookie running back, shared that he felt the same way.

Kamara was quoted in saying, “we would’ve beat the Eagles” given if they would’ve made it past the Vikings. Being that Kamara was one of the stars on the team last year, it’s not a far reach to think many other players feel the exact same way.

Now heading into the season, New Orleans is motivated and knows what is needed to break through. Look for New Orleans to avenge its horrible playoff loss last season by advancing to the Super Bowl this year.
