The New Orleans Saints were supposed to be among the NFL’s top contenders last season. Instead, they came up short in the Wild Card Round during an overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
The 2020 season will be another opportunity for the Saints to turn thing around when it comes to winning in the post-season. They knew heading into the offseason they needed to make some changes at key spots to come back better ready to contend.
New Orleans managed to patch up a few weaknesses earlier in the offseason. They managed to sign Emmanuel Sanders to fill the No. 2 receiver role, Malcolm Jenkins to the secondary, and swapped out Larry Warford with Cesar Ruiz.
If there is an edition of the Saints that is best equipped to compete compared to recent rosters, it appears to be this year’s squad. They pinpointed weaknesses that needed to be addressed and ultimately managed to get the job done addressing them.
