The New Orleans Saints have started to get things on track the last few weeks. After defeating the Indianapolis Colts on the road in Week 8 38-27, they hosted the Chicago Bears in Week 9 and picked up another victory. This time it was a 24-17 win, pushing their record to 5-4 on the season and into first place in the NFC South.

While things haven’t always been pretty for the Saints this season, they have found a way to win more games than they have lost. One of the reasons for their recent success has been the uptick in usage for Taysom Hill.

The ultimate Swiss Army Knife, Hill is being deployed in numerous roles on the offense. He has lined up at quarterback, running back, tight end and even split out wide as a receiver. Whatever is needed to do offensively, he has answered the call.

Against the Bears, he ran the ball 11 times for 52 yards, catching four passes for 13 yards and a touchdown. On top of that, he threw a touchdown to Juwan Johnson. After the game, he spoke to AJ Ross of CBS Sports and expressed optimism in the direction the team’s offense is heading in.

“You’ve started to see what our offense really is and what we can be,” Hill said to Ross post-game.

Fantasy Football managers, along with the Saints, have been ecstatic about the production Hill has provided. He has scored at the same clip as dynamic Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill over the last month, proving just how productive Taysom can be for New Orleans.

Expect Dennis Allen and the Saints’ coaching staff to continue deploying Hill in different ways to get the most out of his unique skill set. The offense has been starting to flow a lot better in recent weeks, which is coinciding with an increase in his usage.
