San Francisco 49ers: 3 Players Primed for Breakout Seasons in 2018

Heading into the 2018 NFL season, the San Francisco 49ers are one of the most intriguing teams being talked about as a sleeper contender in the NFC. Kyle Shanahan has an extremely talented roster to work with. John Lynch has done an excellent job of building the team from the bottom of the league to a potential contender.

Acquiring Jimmy Garoppolo was the icing on top of the cake for the 49ers’ rebuild. Finally getting their franchise quarterback was the last move that needed to be made.

San Francisco also made a few changes on the offensive side of the football this offseason. They allowed Carlos Hyde to walk in free agency and fill their running back hole with free agent Jerick McKinnon. Dante Pettis was drafted by the 49ers, which should help boost the 49ers’ aerial attack as well.

Looking ahead at the upcoming season, there are still some question marks surrounding the 49ers. Can their offense live up to the hype with Garoppolo leading the way? Is their defense going to step up and make plays to keep opposing teams out of the end zone?

Only time will tell, but San Francisco will need a few young players to have breakout seasons. Their 2018 season could completely depend on three young players, in particular, making a jump.

All of that being said, which three players are primed to have breakout seasons for the 49ers this year?
