The 49ers lucked out with that final pick in the 2017 draft. And, the 49ers may have found yet another gem in the same round in this recent draft.
Middle Tennessee State’s Richie James is looking to grab a roster spot and is already succeeding after his first preseason game. James came away with four catches on five targets for 46 yards and the game-winning touchdown.
He’s already looking like a great fit in Shanahan’s system with his flawless route running and ability to make defenders miss in the open field. It’s still early in training camp, but he’s already showing his worth.
