Wilson Will Reach His Career Peak in 2020

Russell Wilson is good at football. He’s been good at football since his rookie season, and has continued to be good at football to this day. But what remains special about Russell Wilson is that somehow, he just keeps getting better.

Even with a bit of touchdown regression in 2019, that masterpiece season was still arguably better than his 2018 year, which was better than his 2017 year. When he takes the field in 2020, we have every reason to believe that Russell Wilson will once again top himself. He has the talent around him and the proven track record to where we should expect Wilson to reach his apex.

And when Russell Wilson reaches his peak, it could be breathtaking. Like, 40 touchdowns at 67% breathtaking. He’s proven his chemistry with Tyler Lockett, he has a budding star in DK Metcalf, and if Seattle can get just a tiny bit of production from Olsen and Dorsett, that could be one stacked offensive roster.

But father time was, is, and always will be, undefeated. And while he’s not anywhere close to rushing Wilson out the door, it’s worth noting that the Seahawks star will be 32 by the end of 2020. He can’t keep getting better forever.

The stars are aligned for Wilson to be at his absolute best for the 2020 season, but after that, who knows? Chances are that he’ll keep putting up impressive numbers for the next five years, but those following seasons might not be able to match the brilliance that Wilson is due to put up in 2020.
