The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a solid season that ended with a 28-23 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs. Entering the 2020 season, the Seahawks will look to contend for a Super Bowl victory.
It was a busy offseason for the Seahawks, to say the least. The team made some free-agent additions that include Quinton Dunbar, B.J. Finney, Greg Olsen, Bruce Irvin, Phillip Dorsett, and Benson Mayowa to name a few. None are star players but should be helpful contributors, nevertheless.
The 2020 NFL Draft featured some intriguing additions for the Seahawks, too. Seattle used their early round selections to pull off a haul of linebacker Jordyn Brooks (Texas Tech), edge rusher Darrell Taylor (Tennessee), guard Damien Lewis (LSU), and tight end Colby Parkinson (Stanford).
It’s clear the Seahawks are going all-in on the 2020 season after the Jamal Adams trade with the New York Jets. Seattle gave up considerable draft capital to make the move happen and will face a burdensome cap situation in the future with the idea of contending immediately.
