Russell Wilson, Quarterback
Bobby Wagner is the leader of the Seahawks’ defense, while quarterback Russell Wilson is unquestionably the leader of their offense. The former Super Bowl champion and four-time Pro Bowler is a guy who accounts for a lot of TDs and turns the ball over at a low rate.
On Sunday, Wilson did more of the same. The 29-year-old did lose a fumble, but he also completed 17 of 26 passes for 176 yards and three scores while carrying the ball nine times for 92 yards.
Wilson presently has 21 TDs, surprisingly all through the air. And he has just five interceptions, including just two over the past seven games.
Seattle continues to have a less-than-stellar set of wide receivers, as it has for most of Wilson’s tenure. But the seventh-year pro continues to play at the same level that took the Seahawks to back-to-back Super Bowls in 2013 and 2014.
They likely won’t get back to that point this season, but it’s always important to have a gifted signal passer, which the Seahawks certainly do.
