Steelers: 5 Reasons It’s Time to Panic About Pittsburgh

The Defense Isn’t Making Many Plays

Outside of an interception off of an underthrown pass from Browns’ quarterback Tyrod Taylor in Week 1, the Steelers’ secondary has not recorded an interception. Pittsburgh is used to a fast, playmaking defense, but that simply has not been the case this season.

Pittsburgh has five sacks on the season, which isn’t bad, but the playmaking has to pick up.

If the defense is unable to pick things up, the Steelers are in for a long season. Going up againt Tom Brady isn’t going to be easy and Jacksonville’s defense is stifling. Big Ben and the offense won’t be able to power a deep playoff run or even quite possibly a playoff berth without imrpovement from the defense.
